  1. What's love got to do with it? Well I'm not entirely sure since I've never been in love before (sigh). Sure, I've had crushes in the past and I have some really good female friends...but love? Nah. In the words of the ever-amazing Sherlock Holmes, "Girlfriend? No, that's not really my area." Bah. I am rambling on about sentiment...to the heart of the matter, shall we?

While I've never been in love before (sigh) I've seen people in love. It's quite amazing actually. To see two people who are madly in love with each other! They haven't even the slightest care in the world...al they see are each other! Its as if the y know that surely there’s a way their story can reach a happy end...its quite beautiful actually. Hmph. Once again, I am rambling about what I see...and perhaps what I wish to experience for myself.

Love, has quite a lot to do with it. Love is being able to feel your heart beat da da da da! as it bursts with 1000% LOVE! Its letting your love reach the stars. So I assume love has to do with love! I mean, some people say love has to do with happiness. But happiness depends on your happenings. However, if you've got love and joy, then you've got something that even the devil can't take away from you. You've got a red rose that burns with the might of love...your hearts forever intertwined with each other.

However, love is not just a one sided mirror; it’s the cheval glass. Don’t fall in love because you want to be loved. If its all about you, don’t you think its rather selfish? Fall in love, so that you can love someone. You be the one to step out there and shielding your loved one from harm, holding them deeply within your arms…make them dizzy as you show them your 1000% love. As you soar above the stars, you will never part…with a kiss on the lips, you’ll spin the love with your bursting love.

    1. Reply by Kimaada J. :Very interesting. Fun to read and visualize the metaphors you used.
The last two sentences made me visualize a super hero like Hancock (I guess it's because I like Will Smith, but Superman can do the same thing) holding a woman deep in his arms, shielding her from harm and then an image of them flying through space before they stop to kiss...or maybe like a scene from Shrek 2.
They give the assumption that, when people fall in love nothing can effect their love...?

  2. If I keep this personal, it would be more about family, and friends and how I think love that endures grows out of friendship. Then it's simple and real and fun. Familial love is more complicated.

If I was writing more about the arguments made in the assigned books about love, I'd say that I don't think I could love those who oppress me, and I'm not sure one really needs to. If you can be kind and tolerant of honest mistakes and forgiving, without feeling love, then is the love necessary? Does it make you happier to love your enemies? I don't know.

However, I do believe that some sort of love both given and received is required for happiness. I'm not saying that one has to be in a romantic relationship, but a good relationship with your family, a pet, a close friend, someone that you can both give affection to and receive affection from. I think that is one of the keys to happiness.

What’s love got to do with it?
It: Being the 'it' factor; the thing you want, the thing you desire; anything and everything.
What’s love got- Loves got power. The power to heal, to grow, to comfort, to share, to make you understand, to make you aware, to make u laugh, to make you happy, to make you strong, to make you strive, to keep you alive. Love is versatile.Invoke love into every action. Without love in your actions there is no power there is no purpose there is no point. Whatever your intentions, whatever your purpose, you must do it with love. In all your relations, person to persons, you must share with love. In any matrimony there must be love. In any pursuit, be it a career, be it a person, an interest or a truth, it should be done with love. Be ready to perceive the powers of love as a reaction and effect of your actions. Expect love to be the cause and effect. Assume that the ulterior motive and the underlying issue are based on love. Love has the power to maintain and obtain- to do with it.
In order to succeed in 'it', love must be involved.

What’s Love got to do with it?

I think “Love” mean happiness. Without love in our world how can there be happiness? Love is a strong emotion that drives people in a good way. Love creates action, the type of action that is needed in our world. Men and women that do not love in the world are cold and heartless. Men in prisons do not know what love is. In the end love has a lot to do with it.

Love is something great and can change a person in an instant. Having experienced a small glimpse of love people have something great to look forward to. The expression of love is a beautiful thing. I believe that if love took over the world, the world would rid itself of racism, senseless death, sexism and all the darkness humanity has.

Love cannot be defined. It is a constant, like an emotion that cannot be described to it's full extent with words. It would be like asking someone to describe a color, therefore it must be experienced to define it. James Baldwin describes what many Americans to believe to be love as "A state of being, or a state grace - not in the infantile American sense of being happy, but in the tough and universal sense of quest and daring and growth."

Love can influence a lot of other emotions. Caring for a person doesn't always mean just making them happy, but by being one's self. Dependence on one another to express how they feel and for the other person to understand. It is phenomenon that is something greater than we can fully comprehend.

"What's Love Got to do with It?"

Love has everything to do with it. It, being the ability to coexist with one another. In the world that we live in, the notion of being able to coexist is an idea that truly wants to be accomplished. We all want to live in peace with one another. For this to happen, we must past the boundaries of respecting and only acting to care for one another, for the sole purpose of being able to work. We have to get one a level where we see each other as our brothers and sisters. We are all part of one planet, not of different ones. This ability to love one another is shown throughout Baldwin and especially Martin Luther King Jr. Their messages revolved around being able to love one another as if they were your own brother and sister.

  7. I think love plays a huge role in many of the things in out lives. One of the main things love plays a role in would be for one's happiness. It is really hard to get by one day without having something that you love in your life. If there weren't any love around you, your day would be dreadful.

Personally, I love my job, and the fact that I love it makes me look forward to waking up and going to work. They joy of my job keeps me happy and positive. There are many things in life that I love, and I can not imagine how things would be without love.

    1. I totally agree! Can you imagine a world without love? Quite dreadful actually! But take a look at the world now? Can you see that love is slowly starting to trickle away? People are running around and killing innocents...and then walking away like nothing even happened. The love of man, has waxed cold.

What's love got to do with it? I feel like love has everything to do with everything. For me, love takes whatever it is that you are passionate for to another level. When one "likes" something, there will come a time where that "something" will lose its appeal. However, when one comes to love something, they will do whatever it takes to keep that same compassion.

For example, when one is in a relationship with someone, they all hope that initial "like" feeling they have will eventually turn into love. Love is what makes us go through the struggle of potential let downs in relationships because at the end of the day, we all want love. I feel without love, we have nothing. The world wouldn't survive if we didn't have the ability to love.

Love has everything to "do with it". Love motivates us in different ways. For some people them to get up in the morning and for other it motivates them to stay up late at night. There are many kinds of love.

There's love for what you do, like love for your job. This kind of love makes you want to wake up early in the morning to get to work. There's love for late night television. Personally I know people who stay up all night watching the shows they love. Then there's love for living thins like people or pets and in a strange case blow up animals. Yes, recently there was a story on a boy who had a love for inflatable animals.

Love is a strange thing and undoubtedly a very important part of human and human psychology.

  10. I think love has everything to do with "it." Everyone and everything wants to be loved or in love. To feel such an emotion is an overwhelming feeling that can lead to happiness and "success." I put success in quotations because today, it's like a mission for some people. They want it so badly that they are willing to do anything for that someone or that something. Love has power and it takes over us. I hear people say all the time, "Love will make you do crazy things," and it does indeed. Personally, i think to live you should learn how to love, whether it be your family, friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, or your pet. When i say learn how to love, i mean it helps us in ways i can't explain. We respect more and judge less if we see the realness in life and people. To love is to accept. I agree that love can lead to happiness and joy. But i also think it explains a lot why people are the way they are and why people act the way they act. I think love can come in different forms, depending on who or what it is we love. Nobody really understands love, it's a complicated thing and everyone has their own definition of love. I just know from what i see and hear, love is an awesome feeling.

    1. Love IS an awesome feeling! Its all warm and tingly, and fuzzy1 Its so hard to describe! Its a beautiful thing!

You're right, we should learn how to love. Live like there is no tomorrow, and love like you're on borrowed time.

  11. I think love is a result of two people who can do anything for another. It is a representative of brave and loyalty. In our life, we like many people, but not love. Love is the highest level to show the passion of a human feeling. Love is a surprise that we can not plan because we can not control to love someone. Sometimes we may feel hopeless or disappointed, but only we hold on tight the faith, love can change into a power to push us forward. everyone need love to live because we are not alone and it is happiness that share all the things with your half partner. no matter family or couple. I love love.

  12. The "it" in the lyric, "What's love got to do with it" is open to different meanings. The take that I get from the lyric is that "it" means happiness. If that's the case then the question then becomes, "What's love got to do with happiness." In my opinion, it has a lot to do with happiness, almost everything to do with it, actually. Let's face it, love makes people happy. I believe that love brings the purest, most joyful form of happiness to people's lives and just makes them better overall. It brings positive feelings, giddiness, laughter, and more to people's lives. Love doesn't always have to refer to romantic love either. Love can bring happiness through family relationships, friendships, and even love within yourself. Self-love is probably the most important kind of love there is because if you can't learn to love yourself, then how will you get others to love you? Despite the divorce rate and selfishness in the world these days, I still firmly believe that love makes the world go round. It is the most encompassing feeling in the world and anyone can feel it if they just open up their heart a little bit.

Freewrite: I think love is one of the most important things in life. It can also be one of the pillars to the foundation of life. As a child, one needs love when growing up. It is part of our cultures and it is one of the things that will shape an adult. For example, if some one is loved as a child, there are higher chances of him/her being a compassionate helping person. On the other hand, when a child is raised without love, they will eventually commit bad acts because they don't care about anything or love anyone.
One needs to learn to love themselves in order to love others. As an adult, one will love the way they were taught to love. Therefore love is very essential in life.

Love has everything to do with “it”. Love is what keeps us going as human, it’s our motivation to keep striving to do better. It’s the support we need as a little push to keep going forward and not to dwell on our past.

There are different types of love. For example, love for your job. If you’re lucky you’ll find a job you love so much that’s what wakes you up in the morning. Or love as in caring for one another. It’s always nice to have somebody to talk to, have somebody understand you and help you get through a situation. If there wasn’t love, I don’t think the world would but how it is today.
